The Cruz-Sitzman Family

The Cruz-Sitzman family from Corning, IA stayed at our Blank House for 44 nights, while their baby boy Oliver received care in the NICU at Blank Children's Hospital. In December, Kassandra (mom), was transferred to Des Moines to deliver Oliver early at 33 weeks pregnant due to preeclampsia. This was something they tried to prevent, but Oliver had other plans.

After a little extra time in the NICU, Kassandra, Tom, and Oliver were able to go home as a family the day before Valentine's Day and we are so happy for them!

Mom said, "Ronald McDonald House allowed me to stay close to the hospital so I could go visit my son. It provided my family and I a place to sleep, relax, and have home-cooked meals away from home."
