Meet Our Staff!

Brenda became Executive Director of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Iowa in 2008 and has been with the organization since 1999. Under her leadership, the House Program has more than doubled its capacity to its current 32 guest rooms. Brenda has become the face of the House and raised awareness of our mission and services throughout Central Iowa and is an effective steward of the funds donors invest in the House.

Meet Meggie who is our Assistant Operations Manager. She assists in the development and management for all House guest programs and services. Meggie provides support to staff, volunteers, and families to help carry out the RMHC mission.

Meet Grace who is our Marketing Coordinator and Special Events Assistant. She handles all of our marketing needs, and brings a warm smile, positive attitude, and great energy to our Special Events Team!

Meet Kaitlyn, our House Manager who manages the daily operations for our Ronald McDonald House at MercyOne Children's Hospital. She ensures the House runs smoothly while supporting families throughout their stay. Kaitlyn is a warm and welcoming face to our families during a time when they need it most.

Meet Meredith, who handles the day to day aspects that go into a family's stay at RMH near Blank Children's Hospital. She is responsible for welcoming, serving, and supporting families by providing an inviting and comfortable home away from home.

Meet Beth who is our resident manager. She spends her days enthusiastically serving those who need a lift, a cheerleader, a shoulder to cry on, or to laugh until they cry. She cares for our guests so they can better care for their child. Managing the House is top priority so all our guests feel welcomed, safe, and fed.

Meet Maggie, who is our Volunteer Coordinator. She organizes all aspects of volunteering for our House, from meal providers to house volunteers to event volunteers and more. She brings a positive attitude and passionate outlook to all of our volunteer opportunities.

Meet Bernadette "Bee" who is our House Services and Administrative Support Associate for our House near Blank Children's Hospital. She handles various aspects that go into a family's stay at RMH as well as assisting our events team. She is responsible for welcoming, serving, and supporting families by providing an inviting and comfortable home away from home.

Meet Rachel who is our Evening House Associate for our MercyOne House. She handles various aspects that go into a family's stay at RMH at MercyOne Children's Hospital. She is responsible for welcoming, serving, and supporting families by providing an inviting and comfortable home away from home.
