Comfort and Care

Words cannot express how grateful we are for the Ronald McDonald House in Des Moines.

Kysen & Emery Nostrom 1Our twins were born at 25 weeks 2 days prematurely, so that meant for a long haul for all of us. Being we live two hours north of Des Moines, the commute was going to be very costly and time consuming. We were able to make our home at the Ronald McDonald House for 90 days while our twins grew in the Mercy NICU.

The staff at RMH were very comforting and knew just what to say or give that special hug when times were tough. On top of the comfort and care received, we were grateful to have a nice room to sleep and relax in along with a well stocked kitchen to eat comforting meals. We are forever grateful for the RMH and we continue to support them with pop tab donations and toys donated at Christmas time. We don’t know what we would have done without them.
